This 10th Annual CMFS will provide continuing professional development/continuing medical education for all practitioners of Clinical Forensic Medicine (child protection; physical/sexual assault examiners; district medical officers; police medical officers; forensic nurses); Medicolegal Death Investigation (coroners, district medical officers; police medical officers; homicide investigators, crime scene examiners); the Forensic Medical Sciences (forensic pathology, forensic anthropology, forensic odontology); Forensic Science (bodily fluids, DNA analysis, toxicology, forensic chemistry, ballistics, questioned documents, etc); Quality Assurance and Quality Management; Jurisprudence; Criminal Justice (prosecutors, criminal defence bar, magistracy, judiciary) and Civil Litigation.
The educational content of the programme will address important topical issues that flow out of reflections on the ten-year anniversary of this event and will shape the future of the delivery of justice in the Caribbean. The didactic content of the programme will provide insight and new knowledge on the topical issues that practitioners can utilize and share with colleagues in their respective professional areas of practice to enhance standards of practice and the delivery of justice.
We are seeking both reflective and forward-thinking submissions that can offer fresh perspectives and visionary ideas that will shape the future practice. It is an opportunity to showcase insightful and innovative work, transformative technology, or creative solutions to longstanding challenges. Prospective presenters are encouraged to propose topics that will not only reflect their personal passions and expertise but can deliver broader tangible value to administration of justice.
